At Chrysalis Therapeutic Support Services, we are dedicated to supporting adults, children, and young people with disabilities by ensuring their rights to inclusion, freedom from exploitation, and safety. Our trauma-informed, person-centred therapeutic services empower individuals to:

We are committed to adhering to the National Standards for Disability Service Providers and the NSW Disability Service Standards, ensuring ethical practices, client well-being, and safety are always prioritized.

The Six National Standards for Disability Service Providers

The National Standards for Disability Service Providers guide our approach to delivering high-quality, person-centred services. These six standards include:

  • Rights Promotes individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination, and decision-making.
  • Prevents abuse, harm, neglect, and violence.
  • Participation and InclusionEncourages meaningful participation and active inclusion in society.
  • Works collaboratively with individuals, families, friends, and carers to foster community connections.
  • Individual OutcomesServices are assessed, planned, delivered, and reviewed to build on individual strengths.
  • Helps clients achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
  • Feedback and ComplaintsActively seeks feedback to inform service reviews and improvements.
  • Ensures transparency and accountability at both individual and organizational levels.
  • Service AccessProvides transparent, fair, and responsive management of access, service commencement, and transitions.

These standards ensure that every individual receives the highest level of care and support, tailored to their unique needs.

Guiding Legislation and Policies

Chrysalis operates in compliance with key legislation and policies to ensure the safety and quality of our services:

  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission: An independent agency established to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services.
  • Disability Services Act 1993 and NSW Disability Service Standards: Emphasizes the importance of ethical practices and the NSW Behaviour Support Policy.

Mia Rowe

NDIS Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner

Mia has a background in psychology and disability care, bringing a genuine passion for helping individuals enhance their wellbeing and quality of life. Growing up in a household with lived experience of disability has given her a personal understanding of the impact these experiences can have on both individuals and their support networks, shaping her empathetic and person-centred approach.

 

She holds a Bachelor of Psychology and Arts, majoring in Performing Arts, and values ongoing learning. Mia is currently completing postgraduate studies in Positive Behaviour Support, further strengthening her ability to provide evidence-based support tailored to each individual.

 

Outside of her professional work, Mia is highly creative and actively involved in theatre. She volunteers as a social media content creator, musician, and costume designer, viewing creativity as a meaningful way to connect, communicate, and contribute.
