ABOUT

Karen moved up from Melbourne 8 years ago and loves the Coffs Harbour lifestyle. A behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive experience in the Human Service field. Karen’s has 20 years’ experience working with teenagers and young women with high-risk behaviours, disability and mental health issues. Karen holds a Bachelor of Social Welfare, Diploma of Youth Work and Certificate IV in Community Services. Karen has also spent 9 years working in Supported Independent Living with highly complex clients, supporting them and creating new pathways to a more structured and secure lifestyle.

Karen has an open and honest approach when working with her clients, creating one-on-one connection, developing personalised strategies and new skills for an easier lifestyle. Karen achieves this through conducting a range of functional assessments and the development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support plans.
